(Position: Highway Maintenance Crew Leader)

(Florida Locations: North Miami-Dade)

AIMM provides routine maintenance services on non-interstate roadways. Routine Maintenance services may include, but are not limited to, maintenance and repair activities associated with roadways (to include off system associated infrastructure), drainage infrastructure, roadside vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, bridge maintenance, and emergency response. All work zone traffic control installations associated with performing a maintenance activity are included as part of the maintenance activity itself.

 

Routine Maintenance Activities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Landscape Area Maintenance: Weed Control, Small Machine Mowing

  • Tree Trimming and Removal

  • Clean Drainage Structures

  • Repair or Replace Storm Drains, Side Drains, Cross Drains

  • Roadside Litter Removal and Manuel Sweeping

  • Repairing Non-Paved Shoulders, Front Slopes, and Roadside Ditches

  • Guardrail Repair

  • Asphalt Repair

  • Sodding

  • Concrete Repair

  • Delineators Replacement and Installation

  • Signs Repairs and Installation

  • Fence Repair

  • Graffiti Removal

  • Traffic Control Services

  • Bridge Maintenance

  • Emergency Response​

Miscellaneous Routine Maintenance Responsibilities.

Operates tools, small equipment, and performs day-to-day activities of Field Crews as directed.

  • Collaborate and Lead day-to-day activities of Field Crews as directed.

  • Ensure proper maintenance and repair of all equipment supplied, per AIMM Standards.

  • Manage and maintain inventory of any equipment, materials, stockpiles, etc. 

  • Complete Daily Work Report, Timesheet, and any other report required by AIMM and our clients in the format acceptable to AIMM and our clients. Reports will be turned in at the end of each workday. 

  • Operate equipment and perform day- to-day maintenance activities. 

  • Performing typical roadway maintenance activities including operation of equipment supplied by AIMM and other equipment utilized in performing the activities defined in the scope of work, while performing the day-to-day activities of Field Crews, as directed.

  • Follow AIMM Safety Protocols and  wear the PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) provided by AIMM, at ALL times, including your disposable mask/face covering when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, such as when riding in the company vehicle, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. 

 

Highway Maintenance Crew Leader Minimum Qualifications.

  • Working knowledge of typical roadway maintenance activities including operation of equipment utilized in performing the activities defined in the scope of work.

  • Completion of an FDOT approved Temporary Traffic Control Intermediate course.

  • Ability to work outdoors and lift up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs.

  • Must have a Good-Standing Driver’s License and reliable transportation, while being responsible and committed to come to work on a daily basis.
