(Position: Skilled Highway Maintenance Technician)

(Location: Houston, Texas, Harris County)

​

AIMM provides routine maintenance services on non-interstate roadways. Routine Maintenance services may include, but are not limited to, maintenance and repair activities associated with roadways (to include off system associated infrastructure), drainage infrastructure, roadside vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, and emergency response. All work zone traffic control installations associated with performing a maintenance activity are included as part of the maintenance activity itself.

 

Routine Maintenance Activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Landscape Area Maintenance: Weed Control, Small Machine Mowing

  • Tree Trimming and Removal

  • Clean Drainage Structures

  • Repair or Replace Storm Drains, Side Drains, Cross Drains

  • Roadside Litter Removal and Manuel Sweeping

  • Repairing Non-Paved Shoulders, Front Slopes, and Roadside Ditches

  • Guardrail/Cable Guardrail installation and repair

  • Asphalt Repair

  • Sodding

  • Concrete Repair

  • Delineators Replacement and Installation

  • Signs Repairs and Installation

  • Fence Repair

  • Graffiti Removal

  • Traffic Control Services

  • Emergency Response

  • Miscellaneous Routine Maintenance

 

Routine Maintenance Responsibilities.

Operate tools and small equipment and perform the day-to-day activities of Field Crews, as directed.

Position Summary.

AIMM-American Infrastructure Maintenance Management currently seeking a full-time skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to perform advanced maintenance operations within Texas. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, signs, guardrail and/or drainage and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as AIMM Company policies and procedures. This position requires employees to work Day/Night Shift as well as Overtime, travel 50% out of town, at least 3 days per week, with traveling expenses paid for by AIMM. Employees must be able to adjust to a continuously changing schedule, as needed.

Highway Maintenance Technician Minimum Qualifications.

  • Must be willing to travel out of town a least 3 times per week. Position requires out of town traveling 50% of the time. (Travel expenses are paid for by AIMM).

  • Working knowledge of typical roadway maintenance activities including operation of equipment utilized in performing the activities defined in the scope of work.

  • Completion of an FDOT approved Temporary Traffic Control Intermediate course.

  • Ability to work outdoors and lift up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs. Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation, while being responsible and committed to come to work on a daily basis.

  • Truck Driver Experience (No CDL license required).

  • Ability to drive company trucks.

  • Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) preferred, but not required. (Training will be provided).

  • Availability to adjust to changing working schedule, work Night Shift and Overtime.

Requirements.

  • Background Check Motor Vehicle Record Check (No citations within the last 3 years).

  • Valid Driver License

  • Drug Test
