(Position: Highway Maintenance Technician)

(Texas Locations: Houston).

AIMM-American Infrastructure Maintenance Management currently seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to asset maintenance activities, while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as any AIMM Company policies and procedures.


AIMM provides routine maintenance services on non-interstate roadways, including drainage infrastructure, roadside vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, and emergency response.


Routine Maintenance Activities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Landscape Area Maintenance: Weed Control, Small Machine Mowing

  • Tree Trimming and Removal

  • Clean Drainage Structures

  • Repair or Replace Storm Drains, Side Drains, Cross Drains

  • Roadside Litter Removal and Manuel Sweeping

  • Repairing Non-Paved Shoulders, Front Slopes, and Roadside Ditches

  • Guardrail Repair

  • Bridge Maintenance and Repair

  • Asphalt Repair

  • Sodding

  • Concrete Repair

  • Delineators Replacement and Installation

  • Signs Repairs and Installation

  • Fence Repair

  • Graffiti Removal

  • Traffic Control Services

  • Emergency Response

  • Miscellaneous Routine Maintenance


Performing typical roadway maintenance activities including the use of tools and operation of equipment, utilized in performing the activities defined in the scope of work, while performing the day-to-day activities of Field Crews, as directed by supervisor, crew leader, or designee.


Highway Maintenance Technician Minimum Qualifications.

  • Working knowledge of typical roadway maintenance activities including the use of tools and operation of equipment, utilized in performing the activities defined in the scope of work, while performing the day-to-day activities of Field Crews, as directed by your supervisor, crew leader, or designee.

  • Ability to work outdoors and lift up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs.

  • Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation, while being responsible and committed to come to work on a daily basis.

  • Ability to drive company trucks. (No CDL license required, but preferred)

  • Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) preferred, but not required (training will be provided). Ability to complete a Temporary Traffic Control Intermediate course.


Hiring Requirements.

  • AIMM is a Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace. Candidates will be required to controlled substance/drug testing.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

  • Must be able to meet the following driver guidelines:

    •  For drivers 25 years and older: No more than four moving violations or one accident and one violation within the last three years.

    • For drivers 23 or 24 years old: No more than two moving violations within the last three years.

    • No driver may have any major convictions within the last five-year period.

    • For any vehicles requiring a Commercial Driver's License: Drivers must have a minimum of one year with appropriate CDL and experience driving similar vehicles to those scheduled. For drivers who have between one and two years of experience, please submit to the underwriter for review.
